How to take part
- Read BLM's adoption requirements first: you need suitable corrals, fencing, shelter and a stock trailer.
- Bring a completed application, or apply on site; BLM staff approve adopters before animals leave.
- These are untrained wild animals. Plan for gentling and training, or look for a trained horse.
- Can't make the event? BLM also lists animals year-round on the Online Corral.
